If you haven’t noticed based on my interest in this subject, it is an area I struggle with on occasion. Randy Komisar has lived a very full life already and has some good insight on the topic (as well as a wealth of other topics). If you haven’t read his book, “The Monk and the Riddle” I highly recommend it. Also check out this short video clip here:
